When I was in Singapore, I strolled along the Amoy Street and found a little black door with simple signage called Maggie Joan’s Dining Bar. I didn’t have time to visit the place so I just passed it. But then again, I was really curious so I googled it and found many good reviews about this restaurant. Damn, why I didn’t stop by!
But lucky me, God has given me a second chance.
Recently, I found out that The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place will welcome Chef Oliver Hyde from Maggie Joan’s to have an exclusive collaboration for a wine pairing dinner! He will share his Mediterranean inspired gastronomic dishes at the Pacific Restaurant and Lounge, together with hotel’s Executive Chef Sean Macdougall.
A little bit about Maggie Joan’s, this Mediterranean-inspired restaurant in Singapore has impressed many people with their Mediterranean cuisines, edgy industrial décor and unique concept. FYI, Maggie and Joan are the two grandmothers of co-owner Daniel Ballis.
Chef Oliver Hyde will please your tastebuds with his five-course meal. He has an impressive portfolio in culinary world; working at the celebrated 3-Michelin-star Waterside Inn alongside the respected Roux brothers and an experience with chefs such as Gordon Ramsay in his 3-starred ‘Restaurant Gordon Ramsay’ and Jason Atherton. So, there’s no doubt that he will cook an exquisite menu!
