Ismaya Live has partner up with GO-FOOD again to held the biggest culinary event, Jakarta Culinary Feastival (JCF) this year. Which will take place on November 1 to 4, 2018 in two large tents in the Senayan City area, Fork Tent opposite South Lobby Senayan City, and Spoon Tent opposite Panin Tower. With 4 main pillars namely taste, sip, learn, and fun, JCF 2018 will be a food and beverage paradise for foodies, as well as a learning hub where visitors can recognize the culinary world more deeply through a variety of Masterclasses and talk shows that will be guided by dozens of culinary stars from various parts of the world including from Indonesia.
Dozens of international and homeland culinary stars that will perform at JCF 2018 come from various backgrounds ranging from chefs, baristas, mixologists, and F & B experts including two chefs from the Michelin Star restaurant, Manjunath Mural from the restaurants of Song of India (Singapore) and Rishi Naleendra from the Cheek By Jowl restaurant (Singapore). MasterChef Australia 2017 runner-up, Ben Ungermann, The King of Ice Cream will also be present at JCF 2018.

JCF 2018 will also be enlivened by chef Eelke Plasmeijer from Locavore which is the only Indonesian restaurant on the list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in the 21st position. Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajoh from Le Du restaurant in Thailand, who occupied 14th position in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants and MasterChef Thailand judges will also be present at JCF 2018.
Children can also take a variety of special programs for children at JCF 2018, one of which is Revo’s Cooking Class for Teens! which will be guided by chef Revo. In 2012, Revo found its talent in the cooking world when he attended one of the kids cooking classes at JCF 2012. This year, Revo who had participated in Junior MasterChef Indonesia this first season will return to JCF as one of the performers. The mixologist will also shine on JCF 2018 with the presence of Agung Prabowo from The Old Man Hong Kong who occupies 5th place in 50 Asia’s Best Bar 2018 and 10th position in the 2018 World’s Best Bars and David Ong from The Curator Coffee & Cocktails Bar Manila which occupies number 25 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2018 list.
This year, for the first time a talented chef search competition entitled The Chef Hunt 2018 was also held. What is unique about this competition is a regulation that does not allow people with professional experience in the kitchen for more than 2 years to participate. The Grand Final or Round 2 of The Chef Hunt will take place at JCF 2018. The top two of The Chef Hunt will get a partial scholarship from Le Cordon Bleu’s famous culinary school and other attractive prizes.
Furthermore, GO-FOOD – the largest food-messaging service in the world (outside of China) presents Foodielab at JCF 2018. At Foodielab, JCF visitors can enjoy various interactive installations that present information and data visualization of food that are trending these days on GO- FOOD. Not only that, visitors can also directly enjoy the various foods in the GO-FOOD Festival area which will be present at JCF 2018 Spoon Tent.
