Gyoza Bar Jakarta is the newest kid on the block! An eatery with a fresh concept at one of the most popular (and crowded) malls in Jakarta, Central Park. Established under Midtown Group, Gyoza Bar Jakarta serve Modern Japanese Fusion foods, specialising in Gyoza and Japanese style cocktails. And you know what, it’s the first of its kind in Indonesia.
It’s founded by two best friends, Chef Sambas (Midtown Corporate Chef) and Chef Andy Ho (Gyoza Bar’s Executive Chef). Their experiences in culinary world is no doubt! They have various award winning restaurants in North America, such as À L’Os (Montreal), L’Atelier (Montreal), Morimoto (Philadelphia) and Yoshimoto (New Jersey).
The place is huge and cosy. There’s a lot of menu that you should try here. It’s highly recommended and the perfect place for a family dinner, hanging out, or just chilling with some light bites and cocktails.
6 pieces of mixed gyoza with flavours like pan grilled chicken gyoza and chicken truffle, topped with spicy mayo, mozarella, jalapeno, and tobiko. It’s not so instagramable compared to other menus, but the taste? Unbelievably delicious!
Salmon Sashimi Rice Bowl
A huge bowl of rice, topped with salmon sashimi. One of the menu highlights here. Who doesn’t love salmon anyway?
Consists of baby romaine lettuce, grilled chicken teriyaki, shredded carrot, sweet corn with ginger soy dressing.
Gyoza Bar also serve the famous gyu tan don. They serve the beef tounge with chillies on rice to add the spicy flavour for your tastebud. It’s not too spicy for us though.
Spam Baked Rice
This unique slices spam baked with rice bowl and cheese is definitely worth to try. It looks like a bibimbap, right?
Highly recommended dessert! It’s not to sweet. We enjoy every single bite especially with the crumble. Lovely matcha ice cream too.
Russian vodka, homemade ginger liqueur, elder flower syrup, fresh lime juice, stout.
Fresh orange juice, cinnamon syrup and earl grey syrup. So refreshing!
Overall, the food here is nice. Hope they can keep up the good work. Gyoza Bar Jakarta is a one of a kind food experience that you can only find in Jakarta (so far, but maybe they’ll spread to the rest of Indonesia one day?)
