What’s not to love about London? The view, the foods, the enormous clock “big ben”, the royal family, the marching band, hot guys with British accent (of course), all are amazing! Hoping that we can go back again because we have left our heart in this city.
Unfortunately, this year isn’t the year for JKTGO Team to fly back because we are preparing a lot of exciting things for our loyal readers and followers, so no time for holiday!
But thank God for Fairmont Jakarta, at least we can experience a little bit of London for a while.
This August, Fairmont Jakarta will offer you a wonderful experience called “When Jakarta Meets London – Bringing The Heritage of The Savoy to the City”. They are bringing all guest chefs and mixologist from The Savoy, London to Jakarta!
So, still haven’t figured it out what is The Savoy?
The Savoy is a Fairmont-managed five star hotel, one of the most celebrated London landmarks, standing on the Northbank of the famous River Thames. This hotel has 267 luxury rooms and suites with the magnificent view of London. Fine dining has always been their forte, including Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill that presents a British Grill menu with a French touch. For cocktail connoisseurs, The Savoy boasts the award-winning Beaufort Bar, renowned for pushing the boundaries of mixology; and the legendary American Bar, the oldest surviving cocktail bar in London.
It’s a privilege for Jakartans to experience all of these without flying to United Kingdom. There are five key events that you can enjoy during this month:
Traditional British Afternoon Tea
As a start of the event, Fairmont Jakarta kicks off with a traditional British afternoon tea serving at Peacock Lounge, using the recipes from the famous Thames Foyer at The Savoy.
