Contemporary Peruvian Cuisines

So, have you ever curious about the taste of Peruvian Cuisines? We surely did! That’s why, we’re super excited about the recent promotion from Westin Jakarta “Contemporary Peruvian Cuisines” with guest chef Eduardo Montes from Peru!

Last week, we also had a chance to taste his amazing four courses on their 67th Floor (this floor will be their upcoming culinary project soon) and we surely had a very great time! Let’s take a look.

Ceviche Peru

Sea bass, tiger milk foam, red chilli, coriander, red onion. Light and fresh! It’s a very spectacular opening. It looks simple but the taste is very amazing.

Tiradito Pulpo Al Olivo

Torched octopus, Peruvian olive sauce, oriental chimichurri. One of our favourite so far! The octopus is perfectly cooked and very well seasoning too. It’s delightful without being too much.

Arooz Con Pato

Duck confit, nortena sauce, aborio rice corn, green peas, red bell pepper, Peruvian chalaca. Another spectacular technique from Chef Eduardo. The duck is very great, he really cooked it well. For the aborio rice, we found it very unique and different. It might be strange to out tastebuds at the first time but it’s worth to try.

Macaroon de Suspiro Ala Limena

Meringue, port wine, Peruvian egg yolk manjar. Our favourite too! The presentation is very beautiful. The macaroon is lovely and tasty. A perfect treat to end this amazing lunch!

Lucky for you, The Westin Jakarta is excited to feature guest chef Eduardo Montes from Peru at Seasonal Tastes, who will present a 6-course Peruvian fusion dinner set menu with contemporary cooking techniques. This special promotion will be held from 2 May until 4 May so make sure you reserve your place because it’s very limited. It will cost you IDR 740.000++ per person.
