There are so many new cafes in Jakarta these days. We’re sure that you already know some of it. How about these places that you might have missed?

Chicory European Patisserie

One of the best places to grab fresh pastry goes to Chicory European Patisserie. Even it’s not a newcomer in Jakarta’s culinary world, this petite cafe still deserve a visit because of their exquisite croissant, quiche, and cakes. The atmosphere is super cosy and homey. We always want to come back for more!

Mélati Bakehouse

Mélati Bakehouse is a hidden bakehouse at Thamrin Residence. We love how they designed the place, it’s classic yet so fancy. They offer variant of freshly baked goods such as croissant, scones, cookies, pies, and coffee. They only use local ingredients for baking and also aim to provide a global standard pastry. Definitely the right place for a huge bread fan!

Twin House

Twin House has a spacious garden that you can book for any occasions or even picnic. Their goal is to make every customer feels like they’re at home – surrounded by the people and the things they love. This yellow cafe serve variant comfort foods like Nasi Goreng, Waffle, and Pancake. If you’re at Cipete, we suggest you to come!

Kedai Locale

Kedai Locale is a hidden Indonesian restaurant, situated at Rawamangun. They serve authentic local foods and traditional beverages such as manual brew coffee and ginger drinks. Some of the highly recommended foods that you can order are Nasi Goreng Rawon, Iga Garang Asam, Pisang Cokelat Keju and Crepes Ovomaltine.

Tjikinii Lima

When you’re at Cikini, don’t forget to visit Tjikinii Lima. Even it looks like an Indonesian restaurant, they also serve Western foods such as pasta and fish & chips. The indoor area is more vintage and the semi outdoor area is very shady with all the plants, tree and garden. It’s a nice cafe for catching up with family or friends and taking photos too!

Honey & Me

Honey & Me is probably one of the cutest cafe you may ever see. The ambiance is warm and comfortable. They put many vintage decor and woody furniture around the cafe to make it more instagenic. A perfect place to take an afternoon break with some friends. Coffee, light bites and sweets are available in here.
