Please welcome the new steakhouse in town: Altitude Grill! It’s situated at Altitude – The Plaza Level 46, where you can also find some of the well known fine dining restaurants like GAIA, Enmaru, and Momozen.
This time, Chef Gary Eng and Chef Sasky Rarosono will collaborate in the kitchen to serve you the very best steak. With the astonishing 360 degrees view of Jakarta, this place is highly recommended for you who wants to have an unforgettable dining experience with your loved one.
Before the opening on 19th November 2017, we had a chance to try some of their exquisite foods. And trust us, these are something that you don’t wanna miss.
Grilled Watermelon Salad
The first meal that we had at Altitude Grill. It looks simple but definitely has a very complex taste (in a good way). The sweetness from watermelon, saltiness from feta cheese and sourness from the 25 years aged balsamic, all are balance in your mouth. A very impressive appetiser to start the lunch.
Scallop Filled Squid Rings
Another splendid appetiser that you have to try is Scallop Filled Squid Rings. They put the scallop inside the squid ring and put crispy pancetta, raspberry bacon jam and parsley shallot plush on top. As we have known, scallop and squid aren’t easy to cook. It needs perfect time; not too short, not too long. But if you let the pro do it, no worries at all. These were perfectly cooked!
Apple Mango and Prawn Cocktail
Apple Mango and Prawn Cocktail is very light and refreshing. The combination of mango and apple create succulent taste in your mouth, especially when you savour it with the prawn. This appetiser is served in a cocktail glass so it looks simple but still elegant. Two thumbs up!
Triple Cooked Wagyu Ox Tongue
And yes, the most surprising one! The ox tongue really stands out for us. It’s tender, juicy and you can just cut it easily. This Triple Cooked Wagyu Ox Tongue is served with creamed hazelnut dukkah. It’s like a peanut sauce but more flavourful. Definitely our favourite appetiser that day.
Oven Baked Salted Egg Hollandaise Black Cod
We’re very addicted to the salted egg hollandaise sauce. This ‘salted egg’ idea is really smart, especially to elevate the menu since salted egg is very popular these days. The fish was cooked perfectly. As you can see, they also add purple sweet potato and asparagus to enhance the taste.
The champion of the day: Sher Wagyu MBS 8/9 Rump Cap ‘Picanha’! If you’re here, you have to try this steak because it’s perfectly grilled and seasoned. Everything is on point and we just couldn’t find any mistake from this menu. The doneness was medium rare, perfecto! It’s very tender and juicy in your mouth.
Bistecca A La Altitudine
Another exciting menu to try is the Bistecca A La Latitudine! This Sher Wagyu MBS 8/9 T Bone is really really good. We couldn’t stop eating this. When it comes to making great steak, Altitude Grill is definitely one of the players that you need to watch out.
Good news for sweet tooth! They will also launch ‘All You Can Eat’ Dessert Buffet for only IDR 150.000++ per person, includes drink. You can pick as many as you want from the dessert table and nobody could stop you. The table decor is on point! It’s really pretty and fancy.
Do we love it? YES WE DO! We had a great lunch that day. Thanks to Chef Gary Eng and team for pampering our tastebuds with delicious delicacies.
