Shido, Dim Sum
Who doesn’t love dim sum, raise your hands.
If you raised your hand, you’re a liar because everyone who’s anyone loves their dim sum. We all have memories of rocking up to a Chinese family restaurant for their Sunday dim sum brunch and accidentally ordering more than you need – it always gets eaten in the end somehow. At Shido Dimsum you can find all of the usual suspects, from freshly steamed hakau to gelatinous ceker ayam or your grandma’s favourite congee. The best part about eating at Shido Dimsum is that you won’t have to worry about the bill doubling in size because it’s all-you-can-eat dim sum heaven!

The Porte Eatery and Cafe, Italian and Thai
Yes, we know, it’s a weird combination – but we don’t expect you’ll be mixing the two together. The Porte Eatery and Cafe is located inside the FM7 Hotel. We’ve also featured their sister restaurant, Montezuma, a rooftop bar with a stunning unobstructed view of its surroundings.
Their breakfast buffet features standard international dishes, after all, it is a hotel buffet. However, the location means it’s great for those planning on going for an early flight or for those who live in Tangerang or Pantai Indah Kapuk. Besides the cheap all-you-can-eat offer, they also have some great a la carte options – though they can be a bit more pricy.

Royal Kitchen, North Indian
It’s not everyday you find a great, affordable Indian restaurant in Indonesia that’s a buffet as well! While there are plenty of Japanese and Korean buffets around town (and we’ll get to that later), there’s just nothing as comforting as a nice heaped bowl of basmati rice and flavoursome curries. Of course, you can’t forget the naan! The Royal Kitchen, Bellagio‘s budget buffet is available Monday to Thursday only, however if you feel like visiting them on other days, don’t forget that you can get 20% off your bill through our friends at Chope.

Kogi Kogi, Korean Barbecue
With the advent of the much anticipated Hallyu Wave, Korean culture has hit Jakarta – and the whole of South East Asia – by storm. From K-Dramas to K-Pop and thankfully, Korean food as well! Since Kogi Kogi, Senopati first opened their doors in 2014, many other Korean BBQ restaurants have popped up leaving Kogi Kogi, Senopati to be forgotten. However, we still believe that Kogi Kogi, Senopati is one of the great cheap all-you-can-eat Korean barbecues in South Jakarta (where most restaurants are on the pricier side). Choose from a variety of marinated meats and even order some freshly made soondubu jigae or haemul tteokbokki.
Price: IDR 99,000
When: Monday – Sunday; 11:30 – 21:30

Ssikkek, Korean Barbecue
Continuing on with the Hallyu Wave train, we come to (possibly) Jakarta’s most famous cheap all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. While we don’t personally think the prices at Ssikkek, Kelapa Gading are that cheap, especially considering the fact that the food spread is fairly limited during lunch service, it just wouldn’t be a “Cheap Buffets in Jakarta” list without Ssikkek, Kelapa Gading. There is often a choice of three to four marinated meats for you to choose from – you don’t order a serving, you simply rock up to the buffet table and put some on your plate. They also have a few pre-cooked side dishes as well such as jjajangmyeon and haemul pajeon, but of course, as a cheapass, why go to a meat BBQ all-you-can-eat if you’re going to stuff yourself with side dishes? Go for broke, mate!
Price: Adult: IDR 115,900
Child: IDR 95,900
(Monday – Friday, Lunch Buffet)
When: Monday – Sunday, 11:30 – 22:00
Where: Kelapa Gading Square (Ruko MOI)
Blok A No. 5-6, Jl. Boulevard Barat Raya,

Amigos, Tex Mex
Recently we covered Amigos Bar & Cantina, the O.G. Tex Mex restaurant in Jakarta with two locations in Kemang and Mega Kuningan. Unfortunately, the buffet is not available in the Kemang outlet. While they’re not usually a buffet-restaurant, Amigos Bar & Cantina is famous for their Mexican and International Buffet during lunch – a buffet that the JKTGO team lovingly refers to as “Taco Time” because… ALL YOU CAN EAT TACOS, BABY! (and other things like quesadillas and fajitas and stuff, but really, we’re just there for the tacos). The rest of the buffet ranges from extremely awesome to extremely mediocre, they do tend to rotate some dishes though, so it’s worth going there more than once to check out the spread.
